• Marshal MacLuhan: the pioneer of media theory. A genius or a holy fool? A lecture on the Anglo-Saxon school of media studies. Innis, MacLuhan, Havelock: their main works, concepts, and theories. The history of the development of this movement.

• Media and «revolution». The Frankfurt school and Baudrillard, mass media and manipulation, control systems and methods of deviation. The history of interpretation of the relations between the media and the authorities (1930s—1970s).
